The IAB appointed Fred Baker as liaison to the U.S. Smart Grid initiative and IETF representative on the Smart Grid Interoperability Panel (SGIP).
The IAB confirmed Thomas Narten for another year as the IETF liaison to the ICANN Board of Directors.
The IAB confirmed Henk Uijterwaal as the IETF-selected member on the 2010 ICANN NomCom.
The IAB sent comments on behalf of the IETF to The European Commission, DG Enterprise and Industry liaison, on the EC’s whitepaper “Modernising ICT Standardization in the EU – The Way Forward”, 28 August 2009.
The IAB established a formal liaison relationship with the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG), and confirmed Barry Leiba to act as the first liaison in this role
