Also in August, the IAB reappointed Tim April to the ICANN Root Zone Evolution Review Committee (RZERC).

In September, the IAB appointed Warren Kumari as the new liaison manager to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC6. Warren is taking over for Allison Mankin, who served in this role for many years and was looking to step back; thank you to Allison for her service!

IAB Open Meeting

During IETF 115, the IAB will hold an IAB Open Meeting on Tuesday, 2022-11-08 from 16:30-17:30 United Kingdom time. The goal of this meeting is to increase interactions with the community in both directions: providing information about and reporting back on technical work done, as well as gathering input about on-going work.

The IAB Open meeting for 115 will host two invited talks: Mahsa Alimardani of the Oxford Internet Institute and ARTICLE 19 will discuss how Internet connectivity and digital technology can support Iran protesters, and Simone Basso from the Open Observatory of Network Interference (OONI) will present on their censorship measurements in Iran.
