SOURCE: Internet Architecture Board (IAB), ISOC
TITLE: Re. APPROVAL OF INTERIM PROCEDURES AND ASSURANCES OF STABILITY

LIAISON STATEMENT
TO: ITU-T SG2, Q1/2

The IAB has reviewed the interim procedures and concerns raised with respect to the management of e164.arpa in the ENUM standard.

With this liaison, the IAB would like to communicate that we note that the deployment success of the ENUM standard depends on the ITU-T TSB having an operational working relationship with the technical contact for the domain e164.arpa, that the ITU-T TSB considers that its relationship with the current technical contact is working well, and that equivalent operational working relationships would have to be established with any successor or alternative technical contact, and the IAB shall consult with ITU-T TSB and relevant ITU study groups in advance of making any changes in the technical contact for the domain e164.arpa.

We hope this will address your concerns, and look forward to continued constructive collaboration in making the ENUM standard a success.
