Call for Feedback on the IETF Liaison to the ICANN Board of Directors

The Internet Architecture Board (IAB) is responsible for selecting a liaison to represent the IETF on the ICANN Board of Directors.

The IAB sends a call for nominations for this position every two years, but there is no limit on length of service.

Following the recent call for nominations, one candidate has accepted a nomination:

The IAB solicits feedback on this candidate by 23:59 UTC on Monday, 2026-08-24. Please send your comments to iab-chair@iab.org and execd@iab.org. If you would like your feedback to be anonymized, please indicate such in your response.

The IAB expects to finalize its selection by the end of August 2026. The appointee will begin participating as the new board of directors liaison at the ICANN 87 meeting in October.
