Call for Feedback on the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF) Chair Appointment

As part of its oversight responsibility for the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF), the IAB is responsible for selecting the IRTF Chair.

The IAB sends a call for nominations for this position every two years, but there is no limit on length of service.

Following the recent call for nominations, one candidate has accepted a nomination:

The IAB expects to finalize its selection by the end of October 2026. The next IRTF Chair term will begin at IETF 128 in March 2027.
